Disney Shares Update on Park Pass Reservation System Changes

Guests with select tickets visiting Walt Disney World starting January 9, 2024, will no longer need to use the park pass reservation system. Park pass reservations will no longer be required for guests with date-based tickets.

Guests with date-based tickets valid January 9, 2024, or later will start to notice their park pass reservations disappearing from the My Disney Experience app. Since reservations will no longer be required and those guests will no longer need them, Disney is removing them.

Disney World Park Pass Reservation Requirements

Through January 8, 2024, to enter a theme park, both a theme park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for Guests ages 3 and older. Please note, however, that the 4-Park Magic Ticket does not require a theme park reservation to enter the parks.

Prior to purchasing admission, be sure to check reservation availability. Theme park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability can change until the theme park reservation is finalized. Once you purchase, you can make your theme park reservation(s).

The following ticket types do NOT need a park pass reservation through January 8, 2024:

  • 4-Park Magic Ticket
  • 1-day ticket for a specific date and theme park

All other tickets still need a reservation.

Starting January 9, 2024, the following tickets will be the only tickets that require a park pass reservation:

  • Student group tickets
  • Sport and Convention ticket
  • Annual Pass

Date-based tickets and vacation packages that include date-based tickets will no longer require a park pass reservation.
