Disney shares Sneak Peek at Shawarma Palace for Avengers Campus

Heroes visiting Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will get to enjoy some of the Avengers’ favorite eats! One of those locations is the Shawarma Palace cart.

Disneyland president Ken Potrock shared a sneak peek at the Shawarma Palace on Instagram today.

The Shawarma Palace refers to the restaurant the Avengers ate at after saving New York City (and the world) at the end of The Avengers.

If you are like Tony Stark (and me) and don’t know what shawarma is, let me share what I found out. Shawarma is a Levantine Arab dish consisting of meat cut into thin slices, stacked in a cone-like shape, and roasted on a slowly-turning vertical rotisserie or spit. I also found out that the thin-sliced meat is put into sandwiches.
