Disney shares first look at Lunar New Year Mural at Downtown Disney

The Lunar New Year celebration is returning to Disney California Adventure January 21 to February 13, 2022. The celebration commemorates traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures at the Disneyland Resort. If you are visiting the resort during the celebration, be sure to check out the mural in Downtown Disney!

This beautiful mural was created by Disney Live Entertainment Art Director Elizabeth Lisa Kang, pictured above. The mural was inspired by scenes from traditional minwha (painting of the people) — paintings that portray the customs and spirit of everyday life in Korea.
