Yesterday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order ending all COVID-19 restrictions in the state immediately. The order applies to all government restrictions but businesses can still enforce their own measures like requiring masks and physical distancing.

Disney has since responded to the state’s COVID changes. Disney sent out a push notification on the My Disney Experience app.

The notification read:
“Important Information: We are aware of the state of Florida’s plans announced today to modify COVID-19 guidelines. We will evaluate this latest guidance and maintain our current health safety measures at this time, including face covering requirements. We will continue to make thoughtful adjustments to our policy. As COVID-19 vaccines become available, we encourage people to get vaccinated.”
Walt Disney World is a private business and can enact its own health and safety policies. For now, face masks will continue to be required and physical distancing will remain in place.
