Skippers on both the Disneyland and Disney World Jungle Cruise ride have been ordered not to tell anymore jokes about crocodiles eating children in the wake of Tuesday’s tragic event where a 2 year old boy was drown by an alligator near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

The pun heavy Jungle Cruise was full of jokes about crocs eating children and even reference to the famous ‘Ginger Snaps’ crocodile.

Disney has not given word if the jokes will make a return in the future.

There is talk online that Disney will be cutting out crocodiles in some of their other rides and attractions, such as the Tick-Tock Croc in Peter Pan’s Flight and Louis the Alligator from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog which is set to take the stage for the first time tomorrow in the new Magic Kingdom castle stage show Mickey’s Friendship Faire.

  1. The crocodile from Peter Pan is integral to the plot and, I believe, the original novel. And Louis is a comedic relief character, one my little cousin absolutely adores. I understand wanting to be sensitive to a terrible situation, but I honestly don’t think these things will happen. Altering a Parks-only attraction is one thing. Altering Classic film-based attractions is another.
