Disney Unveils First Look at “TRON: Ares,” Setting Course for 2025 Release
Disney has ignited anticipation among fans with the release of the first official trailer and poster for “TRON: Ares,” the long-awaited third chapter in the iconic “TRON” saga. The film, a direct continuation of the groundbreaking 1982 science fiction classic “TRON” and its 2010 sequel, “TRON: Legacy,” is poised to expand the franchise’s universe into uncharted territory.

“TRON: Ares” introduces audiences to Ares, a highly advanced Program dispatched from the digital realm into the real world. This unprecedented event marks humanity’s inaugural encounter with artificial intelligence beings, setting the stage for a potentially perilous mission with far-reaching consequences.
Helmed by director Joachim Rønning, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Jared Leto in the lead role, alongside Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and the esteemed Gillian Anderson. Adding to the legacy connection, Jeff Bridges, who starred in the original “TRON,” also appears in the film.
The production team comprises Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger, with Russell Allen serving as executive producer.
