Disney reimagines spaces for Children’s Hospitals

Three central Florida Children’s hospitals recently had magical Disney transformations. An inspiring program called The Disney children’s hospitals program has brought magic and joy to AdventHealth for Children, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Nemours Children’s Hospital.

The program elements include interactive play spaces, whimsical murals, care packages and more that bring beloved Disney stories to life and provide moments of joy and inspiration to seriously ill children and their families. These reimagined spaces will positively impact thousands of children and families in Central Florida and beyond, and they are just one part of Disney’s overall focus to deliver magic in children’s hospitals around the globe.

“Being a child in a hospital can be overwhelming, and it’s incredibly touching that we’re able to bring comfort and our much-loved Disney characters directly to children who are facing a difficult time in hopes it reduces anxiety and brings a little joy to their hospital experience,” said Tajiana Ancora-Brown, director, WDW External Affairs.

These three hospitals are just part of Disney’s $100M plan to reimagine the patient experience in children’s hospitals and to grant every eligible Disney wish globally.
