Disney Publishing Worldwide, the world’s largest publisher of children’s books and magazines, announced today the release of its first app for the AndroidTM platform. Winnie the Pooh: What’s a Bear to Do? brings one of the most beloved children’s characters of all time to the growing number of families using Android devices. The app launch also coincides with this weekend’s opening of the new “Winnie the Pooh” feature film.
“Our Winnie the Pooh digital products have been incredibly popular, and we want to ensure that all families have the opportunity to experience our stories on their mobile devices,” said Russell Hampton, president, Disney Publishing Worldwide. “Disney Publishing Worldwide is committed to delivering high quality reading experiences to families in the most relevant ways, and our expansion on to Android devices with Winnie the Pooh is another great step forward in this direction for us.”
Special Features
“Winnie the Pooh: What’s a Bear to Do” features professional narration in five different languages – English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese – plus sound effects and authentic Winnie the Pooh music. All five languages are included in one download, and parents and children can switch from English to Spanish to another language with one simple tap. Children also have the option to turn off the narration and record their own voice, reading the story aloud as they follow the animations and turn the pages at their own pace. There are three reading modes to meet children’s different needs: Read to Me, Read on My Own, and Use My Recording.
The Story
Pooh’s tummy is rumbly, but his yummy honey is hiding. In this delightfully animated storybook, children help their favorite stuffed bear find his missing honey pots. Designed for early readers ages 3-7, children can explore the interactive storybook, completing different puzzles and a matching game along the way.
The “Winnie the Pooh: What’s a Bear to Do?” Puzzle Book App is available for $2.99 in Android MarketTM.

My kids will be so excited. They can’t wait to see is on Friday……(neither can I but, don’t tell them). I’ve been an “Owl” fan forever! I can’t wait to see my kids smile during this movie! Thank you so much for posting this!
I love Winnie The Pooh! I’ll have to check it out for my Andriod phone. 😀
This is a cute idea. Can download and use at the parks while waiting in line for a ride. Keep the kids and adults entertained and not get bored and restless, especially waiting for the shows.

I LOVE Disney, but I have never, and will never, pay $2.99 for an app. Just not worth it for me.
