Disney Parks Best Foodie Options for May 2019! Everyday Disney comes out with new food and treats across all their parks. We try to keep up with it as best we can to bring you up to date information on the menus throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland. This month we have all new delights to share with you! Take a look at some of the best “bites” around Disney parks for May 2019.
Walt Disney World Resort has some pretty substantial changes! There are a few new dishes at Storybook Dining at Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. On the appetizer menu, the Hunter’s Terrine comes with chicken, black truffle, and a sweet stone fruit preserve. There’s also Bashful’s Butter-poached Kingklip with farro, fava beans, English peas, and gremolata featured on the entrée menu.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is now serving up several new breakfast and lunch items. For breakfast, kids can now chow down on Chocolate-Hazelnut Crepes with fresh berry compote and whipped cream or a Mickey-shaped Egg and Cheese dish served with Applewood-smoked bacon and fresh fruit. And on the kid’s lunch menu is the new Feast a’ la Beast with braised red wine chicken, bacon, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and sautéed green beans.
For the adults, the lunch menu features a variety of new items including a Sweet Corn Bisque, Coque au Vin (a larger portion of the kid’s Feast a’ la Beast), and Cannellini Bean Cassoulet featuring slow-cooked onions, red peppers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, garlic, and thyme with white cannellini beans and toasted crostini served with a mixed spring salad.
There is also an array of new salads on the menu, including a Citrus Poached Shrimp Salad, a Grilled Chicken Salad, and a Tuna Nicoise Salad. The Citrus Poached Shrimp Salad comes topped with sliced gold beets, julienne roasted red peppers, haricot verts, pickled shallots, grape tomatoes, and carrots. The Tuna Nicoise Salad comes topped with seared ahi tuna, julienne roasted red peppers, haricot verts, grape tomatoes, roasted fingerling potatoes, kalamata olives, and a poached egg. All three salads are also served with a red wine vinaigrette.
Next, we fly out west for all new menu options at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure!
At Disney California Adventure Park, Smokejumpers Grill has added a couple new entrées to their menu. The first is a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with mouth-watering herb-marinated chicken breast, jack cheese, and sundried tomato sauce. You can also try the new Veggie Burger, featuring a grilled plant-based patty on a toasted bun.
Paradise Garden Grill is serving up a new Mediterranean-inspired menu featuring a savory selection of skewers and dishes. Skewers come with your choice of grilled steak, vegetable and tofu, spicy beef and lamb meatball, and lemon oregano chicken served with rice pilaf, cucumber salad, and pita bread. Sauce options include Spicy Chili Sauce, Medium Chimichurri, and Mild Tzatziki.
You can also try the Beef Gyro Platter or even the Greek Salad with fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, pepperoncini, olives, garbanzo beans, feta, and lemon-oregano dressing. And for dessert? Try the delectable Baklava, a phyllo pastry stuffed with chopped walnuts and dipped in orange flower-flavored syrup.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, the Sand Bar Lounge has a few new items coming to the menu this summer, including a spaghetti burger and dessert nachos! The spaghetti burger features a beef patty with mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomato spread, and arugula sandwiched between two buns made out of fried spaghetti. You’ll find it on the Big Bites section of the menu along with an Arugula Salad topped with a soft-poached egg and a Double B-L-T-A with crispy bacon, braised pork belly, butter lettuce, balsamic tomatoes, and creamy avocado on focaccia.
The menu will also feature artisan pizzas as well as a variety of smaller dishes including a selection of tacos (including duck confit with caramelized onions, pork with pineapple salsa, or grilled shrimp with Sriracha aïoli), seafood ceviche, chicken drum sticks, chili-lime yuca fries, and even sliders. The PBJ Burger Slider is sure to be a favorite with a plant-based patty, peanut butter, and blackberry jam served on a toasted potato bun.
OMG…Confetti Dessert Nachos! This sweet crunchy dish comes topped with vanilla whipped cream, diced strawberries, chocolate drizzle, and sprinkles. Or if you’re looking to get your churro-fix, you can order a Churro Sundae with vanilla ice cream, wild berries, and whipped cream.
Now let’s hop across the street…

The food in Disney is one of the things I look forward to! I love finding different snacks, meals and treats along the way! I always say, “Calories don’t count in Disney!” #DisneyVacayGiveaway
I’ve been to Be Our Guest once for lunch, but would love to go again for Dinner! I’m also excited to try Storybook dining. The appetizer dish (chicken, black truffle, and a sweet stone fruit preserve) sounds super delish! I know a few people that have eaten here, & although the cuisine is somewhat more sophisticated & unique than what i’m normally used to, I think just meeting the evil queen at the end is worth it! haha #DisneyVacayGiveaway
All of this looks and sounds delicious!
