Disney Movie Club is Officially Closing This Year, Sony to Takeover Physical Media Production

The Disney Movie Club, originally established in 2001 to sell VHS and DVD movies directly to consumers, is set to permanently shut down. The closure is part of Sony’s takeover of Disney’s physical media production, which includes the production and distribution of DVDs and Blu-rays.
