Earlier this year, rumors were circulating that Phineas and Ferb may be making the jump from the small screen to the big screen for a full length movie. Now it looks as if those rumors were true.
‘Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension’ was a smash success for Disney Channel, gaining 7.6 million viewers, becaming the third highest watched movie in the channels history. Deadline is now reporting that the shows creators Dan Povermine and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh have signed a new contract with Disney that guarantees the duo will give Disney a new season of the show, a feature film, and a new show, that is rumored to be built around characters from ‘Phineas and Ferb’. Very little is known about any of these at the time, but Povermine and Marsh are already working on the script for the film. When the rumor broke earlier this year, it was rumored to be a mix of live action and animation, but it is unclear if that is still the case at this time.
