Disney just announced an exciting upgrade for the Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation system: all monorails will soon feature new glow-in-the-dark exterior logos. These redesigned logos are engineered for high visibility after dark, making them easily noticeable from a distance.
A recently shared image by Disney Experiences showcases a Cast Member in a blue “Transport” costume standing next to what appears to be Monorail Blue (which underwent a minor refurbishment in 2024). The new logo, bright blue in color, clearly states “Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation.” In daylight, the logo also sports a subtle holographic effect.

The entire Walt Disney World monorail fleet is set to debut its new glow-in-the-dark logos sometime this week, Disney announced. While an exact date wasn’t provided, the company stated, “This week, they’re adding another new feature, which allows the logo on each train to glow in the dark.”
This latest enhancement follows other recent updates to the monorail system, including the under-train lights that illuminate the beam in a color matching each monorail’s name. These lights were initially introduced in 2021 for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebrations and have seen various updates since.
