Those visiting Disney Hollywood Studios over the past week have noticed a change in The Force. Disney has once again altered the script at its ever-popular Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple show which provides young Padawans with the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with some the Dark Side’s biggest baddies.
According to a piece in Attractions Magazine, the biggest change is the removal of much of the backstory at the beginning of the show which means that training happens a lot quicker. In addition, the Seventh Sister has been removed from the show entirely and Kylo Ren (who previously appeared at the end of Trials of the Temple) will now take up her slot.
This means that Darth Vader and Kylo Ren appear on stage at the same time with the participants being split up into two groups. Half of the students square off against Darth Vader and the other half with Kylo Ren. For you Star Wars purists wondering how this is possible, Disney has you covered, according to the backstory, they aren’t really there “in the flesh” just manifestations of the fears of those Jedis in training.
For those interested in signing up your little ones for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, you should note that children must be between the ages of 4 and 12 to participate. Registration begins as soon as the park opens at Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. All participants must be present at the time of registration and slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
