Disney has announced that the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will feature exciting, family-friendly activities centered around the hit collectible card game, specifically showcasing the beautiful artwork on each card. What is Disney Lorcana?

For those new to the game, Disney Lorcana is a collectible trading card game that launched in 2023 with Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter. Players take on the role of an Illumineer, wielding one of six magical inks—amber, amethyst, emerald, ruby, sapphire, and steel—to summon glimmers. These glimmers are reimagined versions of Disney characters, each infused with the magical qualities of the ink they represent, leading to some truly unique and beautiful card designs. The game is all about collecting, deck building, and trading to immerse yourself in the story of the Inkwell Caverns.

More Sinister Surprises on the Horizon: Whispers in the Well

As the excitement builds for the EPCOT Festival, Illumineers everywhere are also gearing up for the next major release, Disney Lorcana: Whispers in the Well, hitting shelves on November 14 (with a pre-release starting November 7 at select locations).

This new set delves into the shadowy depths of the Inkwell Caverns, bringing a host of sinister surprises, including the debut of a brand-new card classification and some wickedly powerful villains!

Introducing “Whispers”

Whispers in the Well introduces a new variant of glimmer called Whispers. These strange specters are only partially formed, summoned from damaged lorebook pages, giving them an air of chilling intrigue. To unlock their full potential and solve the mystery of their origin, players will utilize a new Boost mechanic, adding a fresh layer of strategy to gameplay.

A Villainous Reveal

It wouldn’t be a trip to the dark depths without some powerful baddies! The Whispers in the Well set spotlights some of Disney’s most fearsome villains. We can confirm the reveal of three Super Rare cards and one Legendary villains card:
