Disney Kicks Off Nationwide Talent Search for New Voice Actors

In a move to cultivate new talent, Disney Branded Television has announced a complimentary training initiative. The program offers selected voice actors the chance to refine their craft through a specialized workshop and a featured role in a Disney animated short.

Are you the next voice of Disney? The Disney Branded Television Discovers Voice Talent Search is officially open to all U.S. residents 18+! Whether you’re a comedic powerhouse, an improv pro, or a talented singer (singing is a plus, but not required), Disney wants to hear from you—regardless of ethnicity or background.

The Prize: Ten lucky winners will head to Glendale, CA, for an all-access, weeklong workshop at Disney Television Animation. You’ll work side-by-side with industry pros to create an 11-minute animated short that will premiere on Disney platforms.

The Vision:

• Brenda Kelly Grant (SVP, Casting): “It’s our responsibility to discover [extraordinary performers]… and ensure distinctive new voices continue to define Disney storytelling.”
• Gino Guzzardo (VP, Multiplatform Content): “Our goal is to find the best voices… they’ll learn from seasoned storytellers, get experience in the recording booth, and see their performances evolve.”

The program culminates in character shorts that may even land a spot in a fully produced variety special. Don’t wait—submissions close April 14!
