Disney Junior Play and Dance! Takes a Break as “Get Animated” Moves Into Hollywood Studios This Summer
Little Mouseketeers, take note! Disney has announced that Disney Junior Play and Dance! will be temporarily unavailable at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting May 25, 2025. But don’t worry—the fun is far from over. Just two days later, a brand-new limited-time experience will debut in its place, and it’s bringing the energy!

Get Ready to “Get Animated”
Kicking off May 27 as part of the resort-wide Cool Kid Summer celebration, a fresh offering called “Get Animated” will take over the Animation Courtyard. Designed with Disney’s youngest guests in mind, this experience promises high-energy fun, creative activities, and a few surprise guests that are sure to spark some smiles.
Here’s what you can expect from Get Animated:
- High-energy games and hands-on crafts
- Live, kid-friendly entertainment
- Surprise character appearances—because you never know who might pop up!
This new summer overlay will run through September 1, 2025, as part of Disney’s broader push to bring more seasonal magic across the parks.
When Will Disney Junior Play and Dance! Return?
While Disney hasn’t given a firm return date just yet, they’ve confirmed that Disney Junior Play and Dance! will be back once Cool Kid Summer wraps up. So if your little one loves dancing along with Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and the gang, rest assured—it’s just a pause, not a goodbye.
