Disney Jr. ‘Let’s Play!’ Party Returns to Disneyland Resort

If you are traveling to Southern California for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026, you might want to pack a little extra energy for your youngest mouseketeers.

Disney has officially announced that the highly-anticipated Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party is returning to Disneyland Resort! This kid-focused, high-energy event will bring massive block parties, special stage shows, and rare character interactions to the resort from August 13 through August 16, 2026.

The best part? The party splits its time between a theme park and the main shopping district, meaning you don’t even need a park ticket for the entire weekend to join in on the fun.

Thursday, August 13: Fun Takeover at Disney California Adventure

Kickstarting the celebration on “D23 Day at the parks” (August 13), Disney California Adventure will host a lineup of exclusive, one-day-only entertainment centered around Hollywood Land.

Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party (Cavalcade)

Keep your eyes peeled on the parade route! A colorful, high-energy cavalcade will roll down the street with two special show stops in Hollywood Land:

• 10:35 AM on Hollywood Boulevard
• 10:40 AM at the Carthay Circle Fountain

Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties

Bring your little heroes to the Hollywood Backlot Stage for a fun, interactive culinary show! Kids can join in to decorate cupcakes alongside the SuperKitties.

• Showtimes: 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM
• Age Requirement: Kids must be ages 4 to 11 (accompanied by an adult 18 years or older).
• How to Join: Spots are highly limited. You must sign up near the stage 45 minutes before showtime.

Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Live

If you miss the morning slots, don’t worry. The Hollywood Backlot Stage pivots to a high-energy stage show in the afternoon featuring upbeat music, dancing, and plenty of opportunities to move.

• Showtimes: 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM

Crafts, Sketches, & Rare Meet-and-Greets

Throughout the day, DCA is packing Hollywood Land with bonus activities for families:

• Character Sightings: Say hello to Sofia the First, Spidey, Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.
• Animation Academy: Take a seat inside the Disney Animation building to learn how to sketch Pepper, Princess Sofia’s beloved pet puppy-unicorn!
• Craft Zone: Set up near the Hollywood Backlot Stage, kids can let their creativity run wild with hands-on crafting tables.
• Photo Booth: Stop by the Hollywood Land photo booth to grab Disney Jr.-themed photo strips (available at two for $10).

August 14 – 16: The Party Moves to Downtown Disney

If you don’t have a theme park ticket for the weekend, you’re in luck! From Friday through Sunday, the celebration migrates out of California Adventure and over to the Downtown Disney District, where it’s entirely free to attend.

Whether you are hitting the parks for D23 weekend or just popping by Downtown Disney for an afternoon of fun, this limited-time party is the perfect way to make magical memories with your little ones.
