Disney and Starlight Children’s Foundation Partner to Bring Halloween Magic to Children in Hospitals
This Halloween, Disney, and Starlight Children’s Foundation are teaming up to spread joy to children facing serious illnesses by donating costumes, books, and toys.
Starting July 29th, Disney will donate a costume to Starlight for every Halloween costume purchased on DisneyStore.com, up to 20,000 costumes.

“Disney works with children’s hospitals and pediatric places of care around the world, creating distinctly Disney experiences that deliver moments of joy when they’re needed most,” Lisa Haines, SVP, of Corporate Social Responsibility at Disney, said. “We hope these Disney Store costumes featuring their beloved Disney characters help bring the fun of Halloween to kids who may not be able to trick-or-treat this year.”
These heartwarming Halloween activities are one example of Disney’s $100 million global commitment to reimagine the patient experience in children’s hospitals. These efforts build on a legacy of support for kids and families beginning with Walt Disney himself, who brought Disney animators and characters to visit hospitalized children.
“No one does Halloween like Disney, and what better way to celebrate the season than by giving back to help children,” Patrick Sager, VP, of Retail Marketing for Disney Consumer Products, said. “We’re excited to bring our Disney Store costumes and our beloved characters to support Starlight Children’s Foundation and their important mission this Halloween.”
More Halloween Highlights from Disney Experiences
In addition to the company’s longstanding work with children’s hospitals, Disney’s growing product line of adaptive costumes and wheelchair wraps immerse Disney fans in beloved stories and moments of joy, ensuring fans of all backgrounds and abilities can join in the fun. Last year, Disney Store unveiled a brand-new Disney Mickey Mouse Adaptive Costume for Kids and matching Disney Mickey Mouse Fun House Adaptive Wheelchair Cover, adding to its growing assortment of adaptive options.
At Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, the team helped grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses with Make-A-Wish Hawaii, bringing the aloha spirit and Halloween thrills to 20 wish kids at the first-ever Aulani Wish Week.
