Disney Files New Permit for Play! Pavilion in Epcot

When Disney announced new areas coming to Epcot, one such area was the Play! Pavilion. The Play! Pavilion will take over what was once the Wonders of Life Pavilion and was supposed to open for the 50th anniversary celebration. Work on the area has been delayed but now a new permit has been filed that could give an indication of when the area will be completed.

The permit description is “General Contractor package.” It’s a pretty vague description. The contractor is listed as Balfour Beatty Construction. The permit’s expiration date is listed as December 31, 2024. That could mean that the new pavilion won’t open until 2025 or Disney is just buying as much time as possible to complete the area.

We hope to find out more about the Play! Pavilion at the D23 Expo in September.
