Disney Fan Art Contest Honors One Hundred and One Dalmatians

Disney fans are some of the most imaginative people in the world. To celebrate that wellspring of creativity, D23 is holding the second annual Disney Fan Art Contest, open to D23 Members.

This year’s contest honors the beloved animated film One Hundred and One Dalmatians, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2011! A select number of finalist artwork will be displayed in the Fan Art Gallery at D23 Expo 2011 this August 19-21, 2011, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

  • Members must submit a sketch of their proposed work to the Walt Disney Archives no later than April 4, 2011. No more than three (3) sketches may be submitted per member. Work will be judged by a panel of
    creative executives.
  • Artists whose work has been accepted by the panel at the initial sketch stage will be notified by telephone or e-mail on or before May 9, 2011, and must respond to notification. If a response has not been received within ten days of notification, the acceptance will become null and void.
  • Final art must be submitted to the Walt Disney Archives no later than July 11, 2011. Entries received after this date will not be accepted, judged or returned. From the final artwork received, the panel will select several pieces, which be displayed at D23 Expo 2011. Those finalists whose artwork has been selected will be notified no later than July 18, 2011.
