Buzz Lightyear and Disney Cruise Line Set to Shine in the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
This Thanksgiving, the skies above Manhattan are about to get a whole lot more magical. Disney and Pixar are bringing double the pixie dust to the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, with a brand-new Buzz Lightyear balloon soaring alongside the return of the fan-favorite Disney Cruise Line float.

The all-new Buzz Lightyear balloon celebrates not only the upcoming release of Toy Story 5 (set to blast into theaters June 2026) but also the 30th anniversary of the original Toy Story. The design pays tribute to Pixar’s legacy, featuring Buzz in a dynamic flying pose that looks ready to go “to infinity and beyond” as he zips through the New York City skyline.
Meanwhile, Disney’s Destiny is setting sail—on land, at least. The Disney Cruise Line float will once again glide through the parade, this time themed to the Disney Destiny, the newest ship in the fleet. The float will feature a live performance where Disney heroes and villains face off in a show-stopping musical showdown. Guests watching at home will get a first look at the ship’s stunning bow design, which mirrors the real-life vessel launching on its maiden voyage just one week before the parade.

With Pixar’s beloved space ranger taking flight and Disney’s newest ship taking center stage, the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is shaping up to be a Disney dream come true. You can catch all the magic live on NBC and Peacock starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 27.
