As I prepare for my beach vacation (that most likely will not be a vacation as I’ll still be running around after my three kiddos!), I got to wondering….is it possible to go someplace that I can actually relax? Well moms and dads, I have an answer for you, and that answer is YES! The Disney Cruise Line makes sailing with little ones a breeze, so definitely consider this option if you are looking to plan your next family vacation!
Staterooms are tailored for families, with plenty of space and storage in mind. And, the split bathrooms make it so much easier for families to get ready faster so they can experience all the fun! Bathtubs are found in many rooms and this is a huge plus if traveling with toddlers.
The Disney Cruise Line totally gets families, and they know that bringing all the essentials from home is not always an option. Diaper Genies and Pack ‘n Plays are available for use and can be reserved ahead of time and delivered directly to your stateroom. There are also some strollers onboard and ashore that can be used on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you do plan to travel with a stroller, I would recommend bringing a small, umbrella type along. This will definitely come in handy when exploring the ship!
Now, for that relaxation part that I mentioned before. The Disney Cruise Line knows that parents need (and deserve!) a little downtime too, so the nursery and kids clubs are great spaces for little ones to play while parents enjoy some time to themselves. The nursery is available for kids three and under and the kids clubs are for kids ages three to 12.
Room Service, 24-hours a day, is readily available too! If the kiddos are napping and you need a bit to eat, you can have some food brought right to you. This also comes in handy if you have Second Seating at dinner and while you are getting ready, the kiddos need a snack.
And, speaking of food, Disney understands that its littlest guests can sometimes be the pickiest, so they have created a kids menu that is not only tasty, but also offers many healthy options as well. The servers are also amazing during dinner and keep the kiddos entertained!
