Once you dock at Cobh (Cork), Ireland, guests can experience an aerial tour of one of Ireland’s most iconic destinations and then land at the Skelling Visitor Center for lunch. During the tour, you’ll do a flyover of Skellig Michael and the Dingle Peninsula to see the film Star Wars Film Locations of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

On this adventure you will depart the pier and travel to nearby Fota Wildlife Park to meet up with your helicopter pilot. Then embark on a privately guided aerial adventure over Skellig Michael in a twin engine executive helicopter. After your aerial tour of the island, fly north to the Dingle Peninsula on the Irish mainland.

Then relish an aerial tour of Sybil Head, the location of the Jedi Temple set that Lucasfilm constructed on the cliff’s edge, high above the Atlantic Ocean.
Everyone will learn how Skellig Michael and the Dingle Peninsula were chosen by a small group of monks who – in their pursuit of greater union with God – withdrew from civilization in the 8th century to Ireland’s remote and beautiful Atlantic west coast. It is this rugged beauty that drew Lucasfilm to choose this location for the Jedi Temple on Ahch-To. In 2015, Lucasfilm returned to shoot scenes for The Last Jedi on Skellig Island. Then again in 2016, for more location shoots. On the next leg of the journey you’ll fly next to Dunmore Head’s staggering sea views and another film location from The Last Jedi.

Overall you’ll spend approximately 5 hours on this adventure, including about 2 hours of flight time. This once in a lifetime experience is guided by the Irish team who worked on The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

After seeing the Star Wars film locations you’ll enjoy free time at the Skellig Visitor Center followed by lunch and a chance to pull your own pint of Guinness just like Mark Hamill did. (Guests must be 18 years or older to consume alcohol.)
