Cruising with Disney Cruise Line just became a little more delicious! It was announced today that Disney Cruise Line teamed up with the popular ABC talk show, “The Chew,” to bring Guests some exciting and tasty Port Adventures!
“The Chew” hosts, Clinton Kelly, Carla Hall and Michael Symon have scoured the globe to bring you some of the most innovative and inspirational Port Adventures offered in Disney Cruise Line’s endless destinations. Even more exciting, Disney Cruise Line is currently working with Kelly, Hall, and Symon to bring you the Signature Collection Port Adventures. These Port Adventures will feature recipes right from “The Chew” and prepared by local chefs in ports of call around the globe.
And, now, a closer look at what is in store with this new partnership:
Culinary Classes
Have you ever dreamed of learning to cook to cook Italian food in Tuscany? What about a culinary boot camp on Prince Edward Island or even time at the Klipfish Academy in Norway? Now you can! These culinary classes will allow Guests to participate in hands-on seminars and programs led by top chefs around the world. And yes, you will have a chance to enjoy your creations!
Epicurean Adventures
With these Epicurean Port Adventures, eating your meal is only half the fun! Guests sailing on an Alaskan itinerary are invited to dine on seafood you just caught on a fishing adventure off the coast of the scenic Tongass National Forest. Guests sailing on a Meditteranean Cruise to Italy can compete in a cooking challenge at a local farm right after exploring the ruins of Pompei and the beautiful Sorrento Coast.
Wine and Dessert
And for my favorite… the Wine and Dessert Port Adventures! Guests on Bahamian sailings can tour an 18th-century wine cellar followed by a 4-course meal paired with the perfect wine. Ever wanted to go on the hunt for the Loch Ness Monster? Port Adventures in Scotland will explore the legend of the elusive creature and follow it all up with a cake decorating class where Guests are free to depict their version of the monster on their culinary creation.
