The TRON Identity Program has officially closed at Magic Kingdom
Disney has quietly closed the TRON Identity Program at Magic Kingdom, marking the apparent end of one of Tomorrowland’s more experimental add-on experiences. The experience’s page was recently removed from the official Walt Disney World website, and new construction permits have now been filed for the space.

TRON Identity operated out of the Tomorrowland Launch Depot, located near TRON Lightcycle / Run. The paid experience allowed guests to create a custom TRON “Program” action figure modeled after themselves, blending physical merchandise with digital personalization.
Guests were guided through a multi-step customization process that included facial scanning, selecting helmet and body styles, choosing team colors, and recording six spoken dialogue lines in their own voice. The end result was a personalized figure designed to feel like it came straight from the Grid.
When TRON Identity first launched, the experience was priced at $89.99 plus tax. On June 3, 2025, Disney reduced the price to $50 for a limited time, a change that suggested interest in the experience may have softened in the months leading up to its closure.

In recent days, two Notices of Commencement were filed for addresses tied to Tomorrowland Light & Power. The permits list Buena Vista Construction Company as the contractor, a firm typically associated with smaller interior projects and refresh work rather than major redevelopments.
At this time, Disney has not officially commented on the closure or shared any plans for what may replace TRON Identity. For now, the space joins the growing list of Tomorrowland locations waiting for their next evolution.
