Disney Classic Actor Tim Conway Passes Away at the Age of 85
In sad news today Disney classic actor Tim Conway passed away at the age of 85. Conway was an Emmy Award-winning American actor, voice actor, comedian, writer, and director, who has worked in sitcoms, sketch comedies, films, and shows. Tim Conway voiced Barnacle Boy in the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants and Ernest Borgnine played Mermaid Man; the two worked together until Borgnine’s death in 2012.
Best known for his role on the Carol Burnett show in he also starred in many famous Disney roles. He played Amos Tucker in The Apple Dumpling Gang and The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again alongside Don Knotts, who played Theodore Tucker. He also voiced Sheriff Sniffer in the Air Buddies series since Don Knotts’ death, Peterson in The Proud Family, and Mr. Griff in Hercules (TV series). He even played Tim in The Shaggy D.A. and Milo Jackson in The World’s Greatest Athlete.
