At the Morgan Stanley’s 2022 Technology, Media & Telecom Conference earlier this week. Disney CFO Christine McCarthy was there representing the Walt Disney Company.
Christine mention how Character Meet & Greets would be returning soon, also how the Disney Parks won’t be returning to pre-pandemic levels.
Also mentioned were the new Genie+ and Lightning Lane experiences for guests.
These new offerings are there to help improve guest experiences. She was quoted saying that “Some people have more money than they have time and others have more time than they have money,” when comparing the different services available.
Those guests with more money can afford to pay for Lightning Lane and Genie+ services, while guests who can’t afford these upgrades will just have to wait in line, some of which are quite long. I don’t know about you but I miss the old Fastpass service…
