Disney CEO Bob Iger and his wife, Willow Bay, are poised to make a significant investment in the women’s professional soccer team Angel City FC. This deal, reportedly worth over $50 million, would make the couple the team’s controlling shareholders, potentially valuing the franchise at $300 million, a record for women’s professional sports.

This investment from the Bay Iger Co., a separate entity from their primary roles at Disney and USC Annenberg School, would transfer control of the team from Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
