Disney Casts ‘Grown-ish’ Star Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell in New ‘Peter Pan’ Film. Previously, it was rumored that Margot Robbie was at the top of Disney’s casting wish list as Tinker Bell for the new live-action film, but it seems the studio has found their Tink! Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi has been cast as Tinker Bell in the new Disney film, Peter Pan & Wendy.

“Peter Pan & Wendy is a live-action adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of a boy who wouldn’t grow up and recruits three young siblings in London to join him on a magical adventure to the enchanted Neverland island.”

Currently, the film will star Ever Anderson as Wendy, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell and Jude Law, who is rumored to portray Captain Hook. It is unknown who will play Mr. Smee, John and Michael Darling, The Darling Parents, or The Lost Boys. We will be sure to share more casting information as it becomes available.
