It’s Tough to Be a Bug! has been a staple of Disney’s Animal Kingdom since the park’s opening day on April 22, 1998. Nestled inside the majestic Tree of Life, the 3D show, inspired by Pixar’s A Bug’s Life, entertained guests for over 25 years with its blend of humor, interactive effects, and, of course, a few unexpected surprises. From Hopper’s menacing takeover to the show’s signature stinger effect, this attraction made a lasting impact on all who dared to enter the bug’s world.

With the final show set for March 16, 2025, the attraction will soon make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether, an all-new stage show inspired by Disney’s Zootopia. The upcoming production promises to bring the vibrant city of Zootopia to life at Animal Kingdom, featuring fan-favorite characters like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. As Disney continues to reimagine experiences across the parks, guests can look forward to an exciting new chapter in the Tree of Life Theater.
