More than 4,000 meals will be shared with the Second Harvest Food Bank, a United Way organization, thanks to generous Cast Members who participated in a recent food drive.
The drive, which was conducted by the FAMILIES Diversity Resource Group (DRG), in partnership with Walt Disney World Community Relations, collected more than 6,000 pounds of non-perishable food. FAMILIES DRG members set up and managed nearly 40 drop off locations, which ultimately filled 10 pallets.
Diversity Resource Groups support and enhance the diversity goals and objectives of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts by contributing value to the areas of recruitment, retention, business development, community image and communication.
At Disney, we believe that being a good corporate citizen is the right thing to do: for our consumers and guests, our employees and our businesses. Our goal is to achieve exceptional performance by embedding citizenship into all of our daily decisions and actions. Volunteerism and community outreach is an enduring part of Disney’s legacy and culture and Cast Members continuously show their support throughout Central Florida.
