Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is returning to the Disneyland Resort March 1 to April 23, 2019! This year guests of all ages can celebrate delicious cuisine, beverages and entertainment in Disney’s California Adventure Park. Guests can purchase the Sip and Savor Pass to taste their way through participating locations. I will be on hand for the opening of the festival bringing you first-hand looks at all of the offerings for the festival!
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival features 14 different Festival Marketplaces. Each location’s menu is inspired by, California-grown fresh ingredients. Guests will also discover locally brewed craft beers, wine and spirits from all across the region.
On the Backlot Stage in Hollywood Land on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, guests will discover culinary demonstrations by some of the most celebrated chefs in the industry, who will share their go-to recipes and insider tips for preparing sensational dishes. Family-friendly seminars on these days are presented by Chef Daniella Malfitano, who will demonstrate how preparing and sharing a meal can be a wonderful way to spend time together as a family. Guests of all ages will get inspired or even discover a new interest during these presentations.
Aspiring young chefs can get in the “kitchen” where they’ll mix a variety of ingredients to create magical treats. With silly supervision from Chef Goofy, kids follow a recipe and then swirl everything together (little hands may get messy). The finished goodies go into the magic oven and―voila! Each child gets a wrapped, ready-to-eat baked treat.
There is no additional cost to participate. The Jr. Chef kitchen is open for fun several times daily in the Hollywood Backlot. Daily showtimes are posted at the event location. Jr. Chef is available on a first-come, first-served basis for children ages 3 to 11. The number of participants for each Jr. Chef event is limited. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older.
You’ve seen them on TV―now watch as star chefs share some of the secrets of their success, personal stories and a few of their favorite recipes. What’s on the menu? Pure entertainment as the chef turns up the heat to create a few of their signature dishes live at Palisades Stage in Paradise Gardens Park. Enjoy a delicious brunch buffet, featuring one of the chef’s dishes, along with one alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, coffee, tea or water. After the demo, ticketed Guests are invited to take a photo with the visiting chef. Chefs will have additional book-signing opportunities for Guests not attending the event.
