A recent Walt Disney World Resort wedding featured glasses that allowed the Disney bride to see various colors for the first time.
A Walt Disney World wedding is a dream come true for many couples. For Disney bride, Kristin Robinson of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, her recent Disney Fairy Tale Wedding was memorable in more ways than one.

During the wedding, Kristen wore special glasses that allowed her to see various shades of color for the first time. Kristen suffers from deuteranopia, which is more commonly known as red-green colorblindness. The special glasses allowed Kristen to see colors such as pink and purple, as well as some shades of red, brown, and green for the very first time!
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons planners ensured the wedding included a myriad of colors to immerse Kristen in this new experience, such as the inclusion of pink flower arrangements at the wedding pavilion. Kristen noted the experience was “surreal”, stating “I’ve always dreamed of this; I finally get to see the colors.” Kristen’s father and two brothers, who also suffer from deuteranopia, shared in the color-enhanced revelry with Kristen by trying out the glasses for themselves.
