Complete Guide to Every IP Appearing on the Disney Believe

The ninth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet officially has a name. During the 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, CEO Josh D’Amaro revealed that the fourth Wish-class vessel will be named the Disney Believe.

Slated to arrive in late 2027, the Disney Believe follows its sister ships—the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny—by introducing a unique design motif centered on “promise and possibilities.” The ship will celebrate the stories of characters who have the courage to pursue their dreams.

Confirmed Stories and Characters

While many details regarding specific venues are still under wraps, Disney has officially confirmed five major animated films that will serve as the foundation for the ship’s immersive environments and entertainment:

  • Frozen: Exploring the mystical landscapes and icy peaks of Arendelle.
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Featuring the classic wishing wells and timeless charm of Disney’s first princess.

Hidden Details from the Announcement Video

In addition to the officially named stories, eagle-eyed fans spotted several other beloved intellectual properties (IPs) in the reveal video. While these have not yet been confirmed for specific onboard experiences, their inclusion suggests they may play a role in the ship’s décor, kids’ clubs, or digital interactive elements:

  • Tangled: Hints at the glowing lanterns of Corona.
  • Inside Out: Representing the colorful world of emotions.
  • Monsters, Inc.: Teasing the fun and laughter of Monstropolis.
  • Zootopia 2: Highlighting the modern metropolis from the upcoming sequel.
  • Toy Story: Bringing the beloved Pixar gang along for the voyage.
  • Marvel & Star Wars: The video featured nods to Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the wider Star Wars galaxy, following the Wish-class tradition of blending these epic franchises into the cruise experience.
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas: Adding a touch of spooky holiday magic.
  • Fantasia: Specifically featuring Mickey Mouse in his iconic Sorcerer’s Apprentice role.

A Growing Fleet

The Disney Believe is a key part of an unprecedented expansion for Disney Cruise Line. With the Disney Adventure having just launched in Singapore earlier this month, the company is on track to grow its fleet to 13 ships by 2031. This expansion includes a brand-new class of ships and a dedicated vessel for the Japanese market, both expected to debut in 2029.

Like its predecessors, the Disney Believe will measure approximately 144,000 gross tons and feature 1,254 staterooms. More details regarding itineraries and specific dining concepts are expected to be shared in the coming months as construction continues at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.
