Disney Aspire Celebrates One Year Of Dreams Within Reach

Every day dreams come true for guests at Disney Parks around the world. Now, with the Disney Aspire program, Disney is making magic for Cast Members too!

Today, Disney is celebrating one year since Cast Members decided to put their dreams within reach and change their lives with Disney Aspire.

The $150 million education investment offers more then 90,000 eligible Cast Members the opportunity to enroll at network schools with 100% of tuition paid upfront.

The program offers English and Spanish learning courses, high school completion, vocational programs, undergraduate degrees, Master’s degrees and more!

Some Cast Members shared their success stories and how Disney Aspire helped them to reach their dreams:

Isabel Navarro, a Chile native and Nail Technician at the Senses Spa at Walt Disney World, is living out her goal of growing her English language skills thanks to Disney Aspire!

“I have learned so many new words and i feel i can explain everything a lot better to my clients” said Isabel. “That gives me a lot of confidence and makes me want to keep studying.”

Thomas McCue, a Food and Beverage Cast Member at Aulani Resort & Spa, is now able to pursue his lifelong college goals!

“I am so thankful to Disney and Aulani for giving me access to a lifelong goal that i thought was out of reach” said Thomas. “They have taken what used to be a dream and made it into a journey, which will soon be a reality. My greatest hope is to change lives, even just a few, as Disney has changed mine.”

Now, Thomas is working through the “College Start Program,” once he completes this year-long online program, he will be able to choose from a variety of college programs and work towards becoming the first of nine siblings in his family to earn a college degree.

Willy McKenna, an Attractions Lead Cast Member at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort, is following in his family’s footsteps and continue his educational pursuits.

“Both of my parents have Master’s degrees, and my sister is finishing hers, so education has always been very important in my family,” shared Willy. “I decided to pursue my Master’s in organizational leadership through Disney Aspire with the goal to open more doors with Disney.”

Join the celebrations and hear from other program participants too!
