Last week we lost a legend, Disney artist Al Konetzni passed away at the age of 100.

Al Konetzni was born May 19, 1915, and began working for Walt Disney World in 1953. He created such items as a Donald Duck Pencil Sharpner, Uncle Scrooge Bank, Mickey Mouse Record Player, Glass Lamp and Disney Block Truck. He is most known for creating the Disney School Bus lunchbox. His lunchbox was produced from 1961-1973 and was the bestselling lunch box of all times with 9 million boxes sold.

After he retired from Disney and relocating to Florida, he still continued to create, working with Ringling brothers and Barnum and Baily Circus and helped with merchandise for Disney on Ice.

He was induced as a Disney Legend in 1999.

He was married for 61 years and survived by four children.  Our condolences go out to the family of this Disney Legend.
