Anyone else enjoy getting to the movie theater early to watch all of the previews? Well if you’re like me then you are familiar with “FirstLook”, the pre-movie show that runs on movie screens across the country. Go ahead and take your last look at “FirstLook” because we’ve just heard the announcement that it’s being replaced by National CineMedia’s “Noovie” starting this Friday.
What’s exciting about this news is that Disney has announced its partnership with National CineMedia to provide exclusive content and behind the scenes looks on future Disney films. Movie go-ers will get sneak peeks at films such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Black Panther, A Wrinkle in Time, Avengers: Infinity War, The Incredibles 2 and the still untitled Han Solo movie.
Disney’s deal with National CineMedia states that they will supply content for 5 of the 20 minutes of “Noovie” content. Disney’s portion will be called “Noovie Backlot”.
“There is no better showcase for our studio content than the big screen, and Noovie Backlot is a fresh way to give fans a fun and exclusive look at our slate of upcoming films,” said Disney vp cinema partnerships David Sieden.
