Oh Boy! Disney and The Elf on the Shelf Are Bringing New Magic to Your Holiday Traditions

Get ready to feel like a kid on Christmas morning all over again, because two of the most magical forces from our childhoods and our adulthoods, let’s be honest, are officially teaming up. For the first time ever, The Lumistella Company is opening up the North Pole gates and welcoming outside characters into the Scout Elf universe. That’s right: The Elf on the Shelf is launching a massive holiday collaboration with Disney, and it’s about to make your December mornings a whole lot more nostalgic.

Remember the pure thrill of waking up and racing around the house to see what kind of mischief your elf got into overnight? Now imagine that same tradition, but your elf is rocking a pair of tiny Mickey ears or channeling their inner web-slinger. The new Disney and The Elf on the Shelf collection is bringing a massive wave of pop-culture nostalgia to the table, featuring outfits, props, accessories, kits, and carriers inspired by Mickey Mouse & Friends, Olaf from Frozen, the Disney Princesses, and even Spider-Man.

According to Lumistella co-CEOs and co-founders Chanda Bell and Christa Pitts, this collaboration is a nod to what parents and fans have already been doing for years. Let’s face it, who among us hasn’t tried to DIY a tiny set of mouse ears or used their Scout Elf to reveal a surprise trip to Disney World? The creators noticed, and starting Mickey and Minnie as the foundation of this collection just felt natural. Plus, adding fan-favorites like Olaf, Spider-Man, and princesses means there’s a little piece of childhood magic for everyone.

The best part? Bringing this extra dose of wonder into your home won’t break the bank, with prices ranging from an affordable $12.95 to $25.95. If you’re already planning your holiday setups, mark your calendars: pre-sales kick off on Amazon in mid-July, followed by the official launch on The Santa Store on September 15. Shortly after, you’ll be able to spot them on the shelves of your favorite nostalgic retail haunts like Target, Walmart, CVS, and Michaels.

While the original Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition story is still the heart and soul of the brand, this new lineup is the perfect way to blend your favorite childhood fandoms. And if your favorite character didn’t make the cut this year, don’t worry, the company has already hinted that more Disney characters and stories could be joining the holiday crew in the future.
