Families staying at Walt Disney World over the New Year’s Eve holiday will have the opportunity to ring in 2018 with some of our favorite Pixar characters! Disney’s Contemporary Resort is hosting “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration” on Sunday, December 31 from 8:00pm to 12:15am.
Children will be thrilled with the “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration.” This family-friendly celebration will feature a Disney•Pixar-inspired dinner to ring in the New Year. Guests will enjoy a buffet-style dinner and kids will love the Pixar face painting, a balloon artist and a boot camp with Sarge.
The evening starts with Sarge welcoming guests to the Ballroom of the Americas that will feature vignettes of beloved Pixar movies. From Andy’s Room in “Toy Story” to Metro City with The Incredibles, the celebration will include theatrical backdrops, dramatic set pieces and fun props that re-create the fantastic worlds of the Pixar films. And, of course, favorite characters will be on hand from “Toy Story,” “The Incredibles,” “Cars” and “Up.” An interactive DJ in a “Cars” inspired rig from Radiator Springs will keep the party going with music from Radio Disney.
Just before the clock strikes midnight, party-goers will be invited to head to the Porte Cochére just as world-famous Magic Kingdom fireworks welcome 2018.

Guest are encouraged to Dress to Impress for the party. On the Disney website, guests are asked to preserve the elegant ambiance of this festive gathering. Disney recommends dress pants or slacks and a collared shirt for men, and a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse for women. Jeans may also be worn if in good condition (no holes). Guests are asked to not wear tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
