Marvel fans have been eager to hear any news or see a sneak peek of the upcoming film, Thor: Love and Thunder. This week the internet blew up when a company supposedly and accidentally released a poster for the film too early. The poster in question featured multiple versions of Thor, Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg in various glamour shots and potentially revealed a first look at the new costumes in the film.

Despite the wishful thinking of some fans, the poster is sadly just a fan-made image edited onto a poster rack at an undisclosed store. Other fans were quick to label the poster as a fake and were backed up by the film’s director, Taika Waititi, who debunked the whole thing within hours of posting. Taika commented on the piece sharing, “This is so bad that I kinda wish it was an official poster. It’s definitely what I would have done if I was in charge of posters.”

The original post was quickly removed from Twitter by the O.P. after it was debunked, but some still speculate it was removed by Marvel Studios and may still be an accidental release. We’ll take Taika’s word for it for the time being, but be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates on Thor: Love and Thunder and all things Marvel!
