What to Expect at the Revamped Napa Rose

Since it first opened its doors in 2001, Napa Rose has been the crown jewel of fine dining at the Disneyland Resort. Now, as the restaurant celebrates its 25th anniversary milestone, it is uncorking a brand-new chapter with a stunningly reimagined dining room and an elevated culinary program that honors its past while looking toward a sophisticated future.

The heart of Napa Rose remains Culinary Director Andrew Sutton, who has guided the restaurant’s identity since its inception. For this 25th-anniversary transformation, Chef Sutton has evolved the menu to reflect a broader international perspective while staying rooted in California’s wine country.

“Reopening Napa Rose feels deeply personal,” said Chef Andrew Sutton. “We took the time to do this thoughtfully—honoring the story of the space while allowing the restaurant to evolve into who we are today. Our focus has always been on cooking with intention.”

Alongside Chef Sutton, Executive Chef Clint Chin brings classical French precision to the kitchen, while General Manager Jess Soman—drawing from a background in Michelin three-star and Forbes Five-Star dining—ensures the service is as polished as the surroundings.

The dining experience at Napa Rose is now split into two distinct paths:

  • The Main Dining Room: Features a four-course tasting menu where guests select from multiple options for each course, allowing for a cohesive yet personalized journey.
  • The Bar and Lounge: Offers a refined à la carte menu of small plates, perfect for a casual but indulgent evening.

Opening Menu Highlights:

  • Entrées: Colorado rack of lamb, tangerine roasted rocky chicken, or miso cabbage scallion crepes.
  • Desserts: Fiscalini reserve white cheddar cannoli or warm apple honey brioche.
  • Bar Bites: Pepita-crusted zucchini blossoms, Berkel-sliced charcuterie, and decadent bites served with Osetra golden caviar.

The legendary wine program, managed by Wine Director Patrick Kirchen, remains one of the most extensive in the region, boasting a cellar of over 13,000 bottles.

Walt Disney Imagineering has breathed new life into the interiors, leaning into a “Modern Craftsman” aesthetic. Creative Director Katrina Mosher notes that the design reflects Napa Valley as a place where history, nature, and people converge.

Design Details to Watch For:

  • The Mission Vine Chandelier: A stunning centerpiece in the main dining room featuring glass “grapes” and branch-and-vine detailing.
  • Wine-Inspired Architecture: Towering wooden columns with metal bands evoke the essence of wine barrels.
  • The Entrance: Guests are greeted by a dramatic floor-to-ceiling wine wall and an art installation showcasing the rich history of Napa Valley.
  • The Mural: Arched ceiling details frame a beautiful new mural highlighting the sprawling vineyards of the valley.

Whether you’re dining at the Chef’s Counter for a front-row seat to the action or enjoying a cocktail like the “Sequoia Skyline” (infused with Redwood smoke) on the outdoor terrace, the new Napa Rose is a must-visit for any Disney foodie.

  • Hours: Open 7 days a week, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Reservations: Highly recommended via the Disneyland website or the Disneyland app.
