Wands at the Ready! Forbidden Forest Experience Coming to Universal Fan Fest Nights
Something magical is stirring in the shadows of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and this time, guests won’t just be watching the story unfold… they’ll be living it. Universal has officially shared new details about “Forbidden Forest: Search for the Hippogriff,” an all-new immersive experience debuting during Universal Fan Fest Nights this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood.

During this interactive adventure, guests will step into the role of Hogwarts students attending a nighttime lesson deep within the Forbidden Forest. Led by a professor, small groups will journey through dense woodland paths until things take a turn: a Hippogriff has gone missing. Along the way, guests will encounter magical creatures, cast spells, and face unexpected challenges, including teasing appearances from giant spiders and enchanted plant life. Unlike previous offerings, Universal confirmed that these creatures have never been seen at the park before, making this a must-do event for all Potter fans.
Guests are encouraged to bring their interactive wands and even dress in their Hogwarts house robes to fully immerse themselves in the experience. While wands are not required, they will play a role in interacting with elements throughout the forest. According to Universal, this is not a passive walkthrough but a fully participatory story where guests become part of the journey itself.
