Delta Airlines Added to Disney Airport Luggage Transfer Service at Select Value Resorts

Traveling to Walt Disney World just got a whole lot easier for Delta Air Lines passengers! Delta has officially joined Walt Disney World’s convenient Airport Luggage Transfer service, making it even simpler to breeze through your vacation without dealing with heavy bags.

Delta is now the fourth major airline to partner with the resort-wide service, joining American Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

Operated by BagCheck, this service first launched back in April 2025 as a pilot program at Disney’s Pop Century Resort for Southwest departures. Over the last year, it has expanded to include both arrivals and departures, and now it supports four of the biggest domestic carriers.

How the Service Works

For Arrivals (Getting to Your Resort)

Want to skip baggage claim at Orlando International Airport (MCO) entirely? Follow these steps:

• Register in Advance: Head to enroll.bagcheck.com between 5 and 30 days before your flight. You’ll need both your Disney Resort hotel confirmation number and your airline confirmation number.
• Receive Your Tags: If you register more than 7 days ahead of your trip, special luggage tags will be mailed to your home. (If you register within the 7-day window, you won’t get mailed tags, but your bags will still be tracked and delivered!)
• Fly & Skip the Carousel: Check your bags normally at your home airport. When you land at MCO, bypass the baggage claim area completely and head straight for your Disney resort transportation.
• Claim Your Bags: Once you arrive at your resort, contact Luggage Assistance (either from your room phone or at the front lobby) to collect your bags.
• Note: If your flight lands after 11:00 PM, you can either grab your bags at MCO baggage claim yourself or opt to wait up to four hours for BagCheck to transport them to your resort.

For Departures (Heading Home)

Make your final day in the parks completely hands-free:

• Check-In Online: Complete your flight check-in on the Delta app or website up to 24 hours before departure and pay any applicable baggage fees.
• Drop Off Early: Bring your checked bags to the Luggage Assistance station in your resort lobby at least 4 hours before your flight. Make sure to have a valid photo ID and your digital boarding pass ready (resorts do not offer boarding pass printing).
• Head straight to Security: Go straight to airport security when you arrive at MCO. Your bags will automatically be waiting for you at your home airport’s baggage claim!
• Pro-Tip: Luggage Assistance is open 24 hours a day, so dropping your bags off the night before your morning departure is highly recommended.

Staying at a Moderate or Deluxe resort instead? Disney actually notes that guests can choose to “split-stay” and move to a Value Resort for their final night if they want to utilize the luggage transfer service on departure day!

Important Details to Know

• This service applies strictly to domestic flights.
• If your flight happens to be delayed or canceled, BagCheck will automatically redirect your luggage to your updated flight.
