Deals continue at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World‘s discount climate will continue for at least the first part of next year.

Disney is offering gift cards of up to $750 for consumers who book a five-night Walt Disney Travel Co. package at regular price on select nights through June 3. The deal includes accommodations and a six-day base ticket. The gift card promotion ranges from $300 for booking at Disney’s value resorts to $750 for stays at deluxe resorts or villas.

Since the beginning of the year, Walt Disney Co. has used a series of deep discounts to keep up attendance at its theme-park resorts. Disney Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger said earlier this month that he expects to scale back discounts during the second half of 2010.

With its latest offer, Disney says a vacation for a family of four starts at $1,440 for a standard room at a value resort, if booked by March 27.
