D23’s Summer Magazine is a Celebration of all Things TV and Film

If you aren’t yet a member of D23, Disney’s official fan club than you don’t know what you’re missing.  One of the highlights of membership are the incredible magazines that share the latest Disney news, events and behind-the-scenes insights.

The Summer issue of Disney twenty-three will take readers behind the scenes of some of the year’s biggest films including Avengers: Infinity War, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Incredibles 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Christopher Robin. 

Highlights of the issue include exclusive interviews with the casts and creative teams behind the films including Anthony & Joe Russo along with Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Saldana, and Sebastian Stan who take readers inside the thrilling ride that will be Avengers: Infinity War. Exclusive to Disney twenty-three Marvel’s Ryan Meinerding has also created a special piece of artwork- “The Road to Infinity War- 10 Years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe” which features 14 characters on their way to battle.

Fans of Star Wars will also be pleased to know that Director Ron Howard and star Alden Ehrenreich share their unique insights into the making of Solo: A Star Wars Story.  Fans of the Incredibles will also want to be on the lookout for a piece featuring Craig T. Nelson (Mr. Incredible) as well as Edna Mode who came up with her list of best-dressed Disney characters.

In other Marvel News, Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed reveals he had a special visit from exterminators after finishing the first Ant-Man, while the hilarious Evangeline Lilly talks about playing it cool with co-star Paul Rudd.

Concluding this fantastic Summer round-up,  Ewan McGregor, who plays the title character in Christopher Robin, talks about relating to the challenges of the now-grown-up Christopher, as he meets up once again with Winnie the Pooh and other friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.

Heading over to the world of television, the issue also takes readers down the aisle for a look at Freeform’s Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. Disney twenty-three spoke to some of the couples as well as hosts Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holke about tying the knot at the happiest places on earth.

Other highlights include:

• Actress Ming-Na Wen from Mulan shares some of her memories of making the beloved film and her current role as Agent Melinda May on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
• A celebration of all things tiki at Disney parks and resorts around the world
• A look at the groundbreaking short Three Little Pigs
• The rich history of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood
