Hallmark’s ‘Countdown to Christmas’ Returns With a Record 34 New Films
Hallmark Channel has officially unveiled its full lineup for the 2026 “Countdown to Christmas” programming event. Delivering a record-breaking slate of 34 brand-new original movies, the network is kicking off the holiday season earlier than ever on Friday, October 16.
Spanning ten festive weekends through late December, this year’s schedule promises cozy romance, star-studded casts, and major pop-culture crossovers that will keep viewers glued to their screens every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening.
Among the 34 original premieres, one title in particular stands out for Disney fans: Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. Starring Hallmark royalty Lacey Chabert alongside Travis Van Winkle, Richard Kind, and Christy Carlson Romano, the movie was filmed on location at Walt Disney World Resort. Scheduled to air on Saturday, November 28, the film blends Disney park magic with Hallmark’s signature holiday charm. To make the release even sweeter, a special pop-up shop experience is slated to launch at Disney Springs in early October.
In addition to the Disney World feature, Hallmark’s tentpole slate includes:
- Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story (Premiering Oct. 17): The third installment in Hallmark’s ongoing partnership with the NFL, starring Lyndsy Fonseca and Robert Buckley alongside sports fan favorite cameos.
- A Grand Biltmore Christmas (Premiering Dec. 5): A follow-up to the hit time-travel holiday romance A Biltmore Christmas.
- Mistletoe Murders Season 3 (Premiering Nov. 5): The return of Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney for a new batch of cozy holiday mysteries.
The marathon begins on Friday, October 16, with the premiere of ‘Tis the Season for Setups, starring Amanda Schull and Victor Webster. For cord-cutters, every new film from the “Countdown to Christmas” lineup will be available to stream the next day on Hallmark+, making it easy to catch up on any missed weekend premieres.
With 34 new titles on the calendar, Hallmark is delivering its biggest holiday celebration to date.
