Construction Update: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away on the planet of Batuu is the Black Spire Outpost. Soon residence of Earth will be able to visit the Outpost at both Disneyland Resort at Disney’s California Adventure and Walt Disney World at Hollywood Studios. First let’s take a look at the construction update at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.

From the newest portion of the park, Toy Story Land, we are able to see a good portion of the backdrop to the scenery available in Galaxy’s Edge. Including rock formations, buildings, and even the tips of what seems to be an air or space craft of some kind located close to one of the buildings on Batuu.

Though the building is rather visible the scenery seems to blend in well with the backdrop of Toy Story Land and doesn’t draw too much attention away from the attractions in this portion of the park. We can’t wait to go explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge coming to Hollywood Studios August 29, 2019!

Through the trees and the cloudy sky we can see the tops of the towers in the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu as well as the peaks of the mountains seperating the lands of the parks. Though the scaffolding still remains around portions of the mountains, they are being removed from other portions of the constructs as Disney’s California Adventure prepares for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May 31, 2019!

  1. These pictures are amazing!!! I’m anticipating Star Wars Land to have twice as many people (if not more) on opening day, than Toy Story Land did. I can’t wait to see the land once it’s open at the end of August. One thing I love about Disney is the details they put into everything!!!! If you walk into Star Wars Land (or any Disney land) & you still feel like you are in an amusement park, than Disney didn’t do its job. But that is never the case with them! Sometimes I forget where I am in the Disney Parks because I’m so immersed in a world that’s not my own LOL (aka Pandora–The Land of Avatar, i’m still amazed by that one!). #DisneyVacayGiveaway
