Latest Aerial Photos of Animation Courtyard Construction at Hollywood Studios

New aerial overviews of Animation Courtyard reveal ongoing construction work at Hollywood Studios that is strategically located behind the scenes. This placement ensures the major project remains out of sight and away from the view of park guests.

Since closing in September to prepare for new attractions, Animation Courtyard has been completely inaccessible to guests, with the exception of The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. While we have shared frequent updates on this major transformation, new aerial photos from @bioreconstruct provide an especially valuable, unique, behind-the-scenes insight into the ongoing work that ground-level views cannot offer.

Construction is clearly focused on the area between the show buildings, where aerial views confirm that the land is being cleared right where the previous entrance once stood. With piles of dirt, heavy construction equipment, and several excavators scattered throughout, the demolition is evident.

Crucially, all of this work remains confined behind the temporary guest walls. This massive effort is part of the space’s reimagining as a new land themed to the Walt Disney Studios, which will include the return of The Magic of Disney Animation.
