Congressman Byron Donalds (TX, R) has shared his thoughts and opinions on Disney’s retheming of the Splash Mountain attractions in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disney Park goers have been split about the decision, with many citing that they don’t have a problem with Disney creating a ‘Princess and the Frog’ attraction, but would prefer to keep Splash Mountain and give ‘Princess and the Frog’ its own attraction in the theme parks.
Donald’s shared his thoughts in a video shared to social media. Stating during the video: “It’s really sad to see them not just stand up and be like, ‘No. This isn’t racist. It’s just a part of our Park and kids enjoy it. Look at the… multiethnic people who come, kids who enjoy it, and nobody’s running around thinking they’re being victimized somehow.
