Conan O’Brien Will Host the 97th Oscars
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that comedian, writer, and television host Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Oscars. The ceremony will air live on ABC on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

“We are thrilled and honored to have the incomparable Conan O’Brien host the Oscars this year,” said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang. “He is the perfect person to help lead our global celebration of film with his brilliant humor, his love of movies, and his live TV expertise.”

O’Brien, known for his witty humor and unique comedic style, is no stranger to the entertainment industry. He has hosted late-night talk shows, written for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons, and recently starred in the travel show Conan O’Brien Must Go.
“America demanded it, and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m hosting the Oscars,” O’Brien joked.
The 97th Oscars will be produced by Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan. The ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
